Investment Manager
Simon Christofides was appointed in June 2009 as the independent Chief Risk Officer overlooking the risk management process, risk systems and Fund positions with a focus on risk control. He reports directly to the Board.

Simon has over 13 years experience at leading investment banks in quantitative finance, investment strategy and trading roles. He worked at Goldman Sachs for 8 years where he most recently headed iTraxx European Indices and iTraxx Derivative Trading, including trading of iTraxx options and recovery swaps. Prior to this, Simon helped implement the first global trading and risk management platform for the integrated cash and CDS desk at Goldman Sachs. Simon started his career at Bankers Trust International in 1997 where he was an interest rate and foreign exchange quantitative analyst. Simon holds a PhD in Mathematical Finance from Imperial College London, a Masters in Statistics from Cambridge University and a BSc (Hons.) degree in Mathematics also from Imperial College London.

Olivier Bassou, Director. Olivier is the President of Olexco S.A. which he co-founded in April 2005. Olexco S.A. is an independent trust company specialising in tax planning for the assets of both individuals and companies. After first working in the mergers and acquisitions sector in New York, Olivier spent 10 years in a number of senior roles at a leading Tax Adviser. He implemented the development of the French desk while there as well as important optimal structuring/restructuring schemes .Olivier graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NYC, USA in 1994 with Bachelor of Science and Masters in Business Administration.
Sarah Caygill, Director. Sarah has over 25 years experience the investment industry. Sarah commenced her career at Chase Manhattan Bank in 1984, and then became a senior equities analyst at BZW and Schroders in London. In 1990 she joined Trygg-Hansa SPP to manage their European pension funds. She later moved to JPMorgan Private Bank in Geneva and then to CIBC, where she managed both private client and institutional portfolios. In 2000, she launched a European equity long/short hedge fund and now serves as an investment consultant specialised in alternative asset management. Sarah holds a Masters Degree in Modern Languages and Philosophy from Lincoln College, Oxford. She is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Lars Kroijer, Director. Lars has over 15 years experience in the investment industry. He is the former CIO of Holte Capital Ltd, a London-based market neutral special situations hedge fund which he founded in 2002 before returning external capital in the spring of 2008. Prior to establishing Holte Capital, Lars served in the London office of HBK Investments focusing on special situations investing and event-driven arbitrage. Lars is also the author of "Money Mavericks - Confessions of a Hedge Fund Manager" (Financial Times Press). He frequently appears as a finance expert on a broad range of media. Lars graduated Magna cum Laude from Harvard University with a degree in economics and received a MBA from Harvard Business School.
